Alles neu macht der März

Ich könnte jetzt mit Sternzeichen, Mondphasen oder feenstaubversetztem Heilwasser argumentieren, tatsächlich weiß ich aber nicht wirklich, wieso sich neue Projekte oder Veränderungen bei mir grundsätzlich im März ansiedeln. In den letzten Jahren betraf das den Start von Kreatives Leipzig und Schön und fein. Und bei Katz & Tinte soll es anscheinend wieder genau so sein.

Wobei es diesmal kein kompletter Neustart ist, sondern eher eine kleine Neuausrichtung. Denn an sich wird sich zu meiner bisherigen Tätigkeit nichts ändern. Ich werde wie bisher sowohl Grafikdesign als auch Online PR anbieten, aber der Fokus wird wieder ein klein wenig mehr zu ersterem rutschen. Neben Aufträgen für Kunden bin ich nun endlich so weit, dass ich den Schritt wage, den eigenen Onlineshop aufzumachen. Hier stapeln sich die Motive und Ideen und da ich nicht nur mich selbst mit Einhörnern und Co versorgen möchte, wird es die dann ab demnächst auch zu kaufen geben – vorerst bei dawanda und irgendwann dann eventuell auch hier direkt. :)

Im Zuge dessen habe ich nicht nur das Logo neu gemacht, sondern mich gleich für einen neuen Namen entschieden. Und weil der schon einige Verwirrung gestiftet hat, möchte ich noch einige Sätze zu dessen Zustandekommen sagen:

Nein, ich bin nicht in die Abteilung Crazy Cat Lady gewechselt, sondern nach wie vor eher Hundemensch. Davon abgesehen wäre die hier ansässige Fellnase auch überaus unerfreut, wenn sie mich plötzlich mit einer Katze teilen müsste. Das ‚Katz‘ im Name jedenfalls hat einen völlig anderen, etwas augenzwinkernden Hintergrund: Und zwar meinen Job. Als Digitalarbeiter wird einem ja gerne mal unterstellt, dass man den ganzen Tag nichts anderes tut, als bei Facebook Catcontent zu posten. Das mache ich zwar kundenbedingt sogar tatsächlich, aber den Umstand fand ich als Namensteil eben auch ganz passend. Dazu kommt die Tinte als Bild für den Bereich Grafikdesign und Typografie. Und das ist auch schon das ganze Geheimnis. :)

Jetzt freue ich mich jedenfalls erstmal, dass ich die Großbaustelle Name, Logo und Website erledigt habe und widme mich intensiv der Vorproduktion für den Shop, damit dieser schnellstmöglich online gehen kann. Eine kleine Herausforderung wird ansonsten noch das zweite Blog, welches hier auf der Seite entstehen soll. Dort wird alles geparkt, was mit Typo, Lettering, Farben und Co zu tun hat. Ich habe lange überlegt, ob ich das so mache, oder es nicht doch auf Schön und fein mit unterbringe, allerdings sehe ich Schön und fein nach wie vor eher im Food-Bereich angesiedelt und als mein Hobby an. Beiträge über Typografie oder Anleitungen zu Lettering wären da nicht ganz so passend. Daher werden die hier auf der Seite landen.

Der erste Beitrag ist auch schon in der Pipeline und wird sich der Vorstellung meiner Werkzeuge widmen, da ich auf Instagram und Co so oft danach gefragt werde.
